The Capital District YMCA is seeking dynamic individuals for the opening of the Evolution fitness studio. Check out these positions that supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening the Albany community.

CURRENT IMMEDIATE VACANCIES

• Fitness Coaches
• Personal Trainers
• Group Exercise (Zumba, and others)
• Group Specialty Instructors (Yoga, Pilates, and Barre)

FITNESS COACH - $34.62 PER HOUR - LOOKING FOR A HIGH ENERGY EXERCISE SPECIALIST TO LEAD METABOLIC CONDITIONING SMALL GROUP CLASSES.

• AA / AS in Physical Ed., Recreation, Sports Mgt., OR a related field OR equivalent experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and national certification (NETA, AFAA, and NASM) in group wellness instruction OR YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification required.
• Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y certification within 60 days of hire

PERSONAL TRAINER - $22.55 PER HOUR - DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A PERSONALIZES WELLNESS PROGRAM FOR MEMBERS OF VARYING FITNESS LEVELS

• Current CPR and national certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, and NASM) in Personal Training instruction required.
• At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in wellness field preferred.
• At least one year of experience personal training preferred.
• Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y certification within 60 days of hire

GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR - $22.55 PER HOUR - COORDINATES AND INSTRUCTS GROUP EXERCISE CLASS FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS

• Valid Specialty Certification in Yoga, Pilates, or Barre ( 200 or 500 hours RYT / RYS) .
• AA / AS in Physical Ed., Recreation, Sports Mgt., OR a related field OR equivalent experience preferred.
