TDI Custom Packaging, Inc. is a plastic manufacturing company that specializes in quality custom polyethylene film and bags.
We extrude, convert and print a wide range of packaging products. TDI has been successful in production for 50 years.
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate, who has an electrical / mechanical background and can work with minimal or no supervision.
A person with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Duties
Related to blown-film extrusion :
- Provide general maintenance in the production plant, including equipment, building and grounds.
- Perform routine preventative equipment maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair equipment.
- Perform electrical maintenance, repair and installation of 110, 220, 480, single, and 3-phase.
- General building repair and maintenance.
- Welding duties include arc, stick, MIG, and TIG.
- Hazardous waste (used oil) : handling and reporting procedures.
- Perform plumbing, pipefitting, and other related duties, such as janitorial repairs.
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the manufacturing facility to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the electrical / mechanical field
- Minimum High School diploma
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good common sense : both analytical and intuitive
- Critical thinking with problem-solving abilities
- Has personal integrity, is responsive and a great team player
- Can operate a forklift
- Leadership skills
- Experience as a maintenance professional in the blown-film industry is a plus!
