Job Title : Machine Operator
Job Description
The purpose of the Machine Operator position is to aid in the manufacture of components and subassemblies within the machine shop by using pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and machine tools.
The Machine Operator reads blueprints and uses measurement devices (caliper, micrometer, and tape measure) to ensure that parts comply with the blueprint, which will allow successful assembly of the final product at the customer’s site.
Hard Skills
- QC parts using measurement devices while reading blueprints
- Operates CNC lathes and mills as well as other tools to produce parts
- Familiar with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments
- Operates, loads, and unloads CNC mills, lathes, saws, and conventional machines
- Deburrs parts with belt sander, drill press, or bench grinder
- Reads blueprints and QC own parts
- Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels
- Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units
- Computes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions and decimals
- 1+ year experience with CNC Machine Operation is preferred

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 16 Week(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Tamarac, Florida.
Work Environment
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 30 pounds).
Ability to carry 50 lbs. for 100 feet unassisted. Machinery operation requires the use of safety PPE equipment including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats.
Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facility. Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.
Requires proper coordination and motor skills to work with power / hand tools as needed. Shift hours : 1st Shift 7 am - 3 : 30 pm, 2nd Shift 3 : 30 pm - 12 am.
