Job Description

Senior Property Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Property Manager to oversee their portfolio of student housing properties.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, with specific expertise in managing student housing.

This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our student residents.

Key Responsibilities :

Property Management : Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple student housing properties.Ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Implement and enforce property policies and procedures.Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of maintenance and cleanliness.

Manage property budgets, financial reporting, and expense control.Coordinate with maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and renovations.

Resident Relations : Foster a positive living environment that enhances the student experience.Address and resolve resident complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.

Organize and participate in resident events and activities to build community engagement.Implement and monitor effective communication strategies with residents.

Leasing and Marketing : Develop and execute marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and attract new residents.Oversee the leasing process, including tours, application processing, and lease agreements.

Analyze market trends and adjust rental rates to remain competitive.Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.

Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of property management staff.Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal housing regulations.Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all properties.Handle emergency situations and develop crisis management plans.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor s degree in Property Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in property management, with at least 3 years in student housing.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple properties and large teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of property management software and financial management systems.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
