Bilingual Field Marketing Representative

POSITION SUMMARY

A Bilingual Field Marketing Representative with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRS in an efficient and concise manner across the local market area.

We are looking for candidates with strong fluency in both the English and Spanish languages. The Field Marketing Representative will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and advertising strategies that align with the goals of our sales and marketing teams.

The employee for this position will work in and around the Davie and Ft. Lauderdale areas. This is a salaried role with a performance based quarterly bonus structure.

The schedule for this position in Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 am to 5 : 30pm. (Hours may vary due to scheduling demands and special events).

The Restaurant Store is expanding from the Mid-Atlantic to the Florida area and this role is integral to our success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel to and call on businesses in the local market area to increase sales with existing customers and develop new relationships with prospective customers
• Develop and maintain knowledge of products offered in-store and the gross profit associated with private label products
• Communicate with Sales team to ensure follow-through on leads generated Field Marketing team
• Communicate pertinent information to TRS Marketing Department through established reporting methods
• Plan, organize, and execute specific sales and marketing programs under the direction of the Sales Manager
• Research and communicate competitor information to sales and inventory teams within the local branch by providing relevant competitor invoices and identify current vendors of prospective customers
• Ability to navigate TRS.com quickly and effectively to assist customers with establishing online accounts and quick pick lists

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in retail and / or field marketing / sales / hospitality
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Must possess reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
• Service leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Work is performed while standing and / or walking, up to and including 9 hours / day
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

May require occasional travel to other stores within the region.
