Position Description :
CGI is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help our client modernize their existing automation infrastructure and to build new automation tooling using their Citizen Developer toolset.
We need an engineer who has work with one or more automation tools and is able to assist our client in automating the deployment of the tools.
Must be able to learn new technologies rapidly in order to best understand how to leverage them for the client.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
- Build CI / CD pipelines for microservices, applications and supporting components
- Work to build standard CI / CD approaches across the supported teams and application portfolio
- Optimize system availability to minimize costs to USCIS while supporting all required teams
- Manage security requirements, including patching, to maintain existing security authorization
- Analyze system logs to perform root-cause analysis of performance or infrastructure issues
- Participate in design meetings with other projects and the client’s technical specialists
- Provide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution
- Work with other agile teams to effectively design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutions
- Work with other teams to coordinate integration testing across multiple (more than 3) teams
- Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremonies"
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
- Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship
- 3+ years of development experience in the Information Technology field focusing on development projects using DevSecOps, DevOps and AWS
- Expert skills in Jenkins and GitHub
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience delivering as part of Agile Development teams and strong familiarity with Scrum and / or Kanban delivery models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
Desired qualifications / non-essential skills required :
- Experience with ServiceNow or Salesforce
- Experience Microsoft Power Apps or Power BI
- Experience with UI Path
