Focus :
Lead technical development and market support for identified engineered films opportunities, such as battery and solar applications.
Become the technical subject matter expert in relevant fields through in-depth analysis of competitive intellectual property, understanding of regulatory requirements, and collaboration with global R&D teams.
Demonstrate technical capabilities by producing films and evaluating them internally and with development partners. Develop detailed project timelines, conduct risk analysis, and define critical quality specifications for all potential opportunities.
Contribute to the definition of critical to quality specifications, author development technical specifications, waivers, etc.
Attend trade shows and conferences as a technical representative, building relationships with industry contacts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and drive the design, development, and implementation of products aligned with business strategy.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments to resolve technical challenges and support sustained solution ownership.
Skill Set :
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related field required. 5-8+ years of technical experience, preferably in a manufacturing R&D or Process role across multiple technical processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead product and process development projects with sustained results. Proficiency in project management tools, Design of Experiment, Design for Lean Six Sigma, and statistical analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and apply it to business results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
