Job Details

Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Operations Director to join our team. This is a permanent position in the finance industry that will oversee the development and use of IT within the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, business management, mergers and acquisitions and IT integrations.

They will be responsible for managing and directing the company's IT operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.

The candidate will have a strategic vision and hands-on experience in networking, which will be crucial in enhancing our company's IT capabilities, ensuring we stay ahead in today's fast-paced tech landscape.

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network, support, infrastructure and business analysis) and evaluate them according to established goals.

2. Develop a strategic IT roadmap that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.

3. Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.

4. Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems, and report to upper management.

5. Control budget and report on expenditure.

6. Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.

7. Ensure proper integrations through mergers and company relocations

8. Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians, and other professionals to provide guidance.

9. Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.

10. Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration is a plus.

2. Proven experience as IT director or similar role for 5+ years.

3. Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware / software), networks, etc.

4. Experience in controlling information technology budget.

5. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

6. Outstanding communication abilities.

7. Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.

8. Experience in managing personnel.

9. Knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metrics.

10. Understanding of complex information and requirements.

11. Excellent prioritization and project management skills.

12. Strong strategic and problem-solving skills.

13. Working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows, Exchange, and Citrix.

14. Broad understanding of network architecture and client / server technology.

15. Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.

16. Proven track record in IT strategy development.
