Position Summary Temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant position in International Education & Global Engagement on the International Student Services Team as the Clerical Student Assistant.
Start Date Position available on or after July 1, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description / Duties Duties include but are not limited to : Assist staff with admissions inquiries as directed.Assist staff in planning and execution of new student welcome activities and new international student check-in procedures.
Assist with monitoring student records for completeness.Assist with monitoring of timely transfer of archived student records to electronic repository.
Monitor admissions files for missing documents and correspond with applicants to complete applications.Provide timely and considerate customer service to students in all modalities (in-person, virtual, telephone) Assist staff with clerical duties.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrates experience living overseas.Experience working with databases.Demonstrates fluency in a language other than English.
Required Qualifications :
Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall / Spring units. Salary Range
$16.00 -17.00 per hour (depending on the qualifications of the successful finalist)
