Rothman Ortho is looking for a Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant to join our team! The Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant is a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or Athletic Trainer that provides assistance to the Physician and Physician's Assistant with daily administrative and clinical duties.

Job Title : Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant

Hours : 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm (40 hrs / wk)

• Mon, Wed, Fri (am) : 4301 US-1, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852
• Thu : 1079 Whitehorse Mercerville Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ 08610
• Tue, Fri (pm) : 116 Washington Crossing Pennington Rd, Pennington, NJ

Responsibilities :

• Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room. Directs patient to surgery scheduling and / or front desk for checkout.
• Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room, and prepares exam room for patients to enter.
• Cleans and autoclaves instruments.
• Provides and scans proper paperwork to the chart for Physician's review.
• Records vitals as per Physician's request.
• Prepares injections for the Physician.
• Pulls up x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies pertaining to the patient's exam.
• Assists patient with clothing when necessary.
• Disposes of bio hazardous waste and sharps according to OSHA regulation, and replaces sharps containers when existing containers are full.
• Answers telephones in patient areas and provides voicemail coverage for Physician.
• Requests reports for various facilities for Physicians.
• Empties and restocks laundry.
• Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order.
• Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation including ensuring operative reports, dictations, and studies are present in the chart.
• Completes pre-certifications for MRI's and other Physician orders as necessary.
• Send Visco Injection authorization request to supplement pre-certification representative
• Scans information into patient record (including all Physician orders, prescriptions, etc. on the date of service).
• Covers other areas in the office when not assigned to a Physician.
• Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED minimum education requirement
• Must have active, valid CCMA, CRMA, LPN licensure, or BOC & ATC licensure
• 2+ years of MA, LPN, or ATC experience required
• Computer skills including, bu tnot limited to, MS Office Suite and EMR system(s)
