Summary of Job : The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for evaluating, understanding, architecting and supervising the implementation and support of Information Technology systems and processes to meet the needs of the Lumistry Workforce in a secure, effective and efficient manner.
The position participates in the operation of Lumistry’s proprietary and 3rd party software solutions. Also, participates in the development of security policies and maintenance of workforce procedures in line with those policies and relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
Description of Job Duties : Participate and frequently lead the architecture, selection, implementation, integration and support of Workforce technology systems and networks.
Work with business units to discover their technology needs and challenges. Propose and architect solutions to meet those needs.
Architect, implement, and manage solutions for the efficient and secure management of large-scale distributed deployment of standalone application VM’s and IoT devices.
Participate in the development of Security Policy and its implementation as a part of the TechOps group. Execute procedures to ensure compliance of workforce systems with company Security Policies.
Oversee and regularly review audits, logs, and scans of workforce technology systems. Define and ensure implementation of role-based access control in line with business needs and Security Policy.
Produce and maintain workforce training to align with Security Policies and Procedures Investigate and report on internal security incidents.
Make recommendations for remediations and compensating controls as necessary. Execute change management process in compliance with policy for internal IT systems Collaborate with TechOps group on infrastructure and production system architecture, design, and implementation when necessary.
Develop and lead mentoring sessions for IT, Engineering and Support colleagues to empower them to effectively operate and maintain IT systems Required Education, Knowledge and Special Skills : Ability to collaborate cross functionally across business and technical teams Ability to clearly communicate plans and progress against those plans companywide.
Technical experience with system design and execution Knowledge of : Linux & Windows server administration, security and management.
Puppet, Ansible or similar automated platform management toolset Workflow automation tooling (Zapier or similar) Familiarity with data pipelines / ETL tools such as Apache Airflow Familiarity with SQL servers (MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL) Experience managing and operating a variety of applications on Linux and Windows servers, including Apache (LAMP stack) and IIS with a strong focus on automation and monitoring.
Strong grasp of identity management & SSO tools and techniques, including experience with PAM or similar and SSH key management at scale.
Strong grasp of networking concepts and management of network equipment and software, including a strong understanding of IPTABLES Familiarity with shell scripting languages (BASH, etc) Strong understanding of log collection, aggregation, management and security.
Knowledge of common third-party cloud architecture and related tools.
