The Lead CT Technologist, under general supervision of the Director, Radiology, assists Staff CT Technologist and Radiologists in performing diagnostic procedures for patients by means of computed tomography;
and works effectively with patients and other clinical personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Formal training which will probably be indicated by graduating from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology; current state licensure from the Kentucky Department of Human Resources / Radiation Control Branch;
successful completion of ARRT registry examination for CT; minimum two years in CT operations; current CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Four years experience in CT operations.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES :
- Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day;
- assist patients in turning; assist patients in lying down on and arising from the table safely; push wheelchair patients;
- assist patients in arising from and returning to wheelchair safely; move, lift and position materials weighing up to 20 pounds;
exposure to hazardous materials; manual dexterity and motor coordination; visual and auditory acuity.
