JobDescription :

VDOTis seeking a local candidate for an onsite technical supportposition. The ideal candidate will have experience supportingWindows desktop users in an enterpriseenvironment.

DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Managesand monitors customer IT issues using helpdesk tools KSE Ivanti andSharePoint. Support over the phone in person and using remotecontrol
  • Actsas a liaison between VDOT and VITA / SAIC to ensure the delivery ofhighperformance IT supportservices
  • Worksdirectly with customers to assist in managing and fixing softwareand application issues on desktops laptops tablets andprinters
  • Providesmanagement with recommendations for systems and processimprovements
  • Troubleshootssoftware and hardware problems and enhances the level of directservices to fieldstaff
  • Installsmaintains and assists in testing and upgrading of new and existinghardware andsoftware
  • Providesadvanced problem management troubleshooting root cause analysis andescalations to resolve customerproblems
  • Createsjob aids for internal VDOT staff to enhance the use ofinfrastructure such as SharePoint OneDrive and Officeproducts

REQUIREDEXPERIENCE &SKILLS

  • 3 YearsExperience in customer service skills with a Customer Firstattitude
  • 3 Yearsexperience in Supporting and desktop products including but notlimited to Windows 11 SharePoint Online OneDrive Teams and MSO365
  • 3Years of Extensive knowledge and experience in Active DirectoryGPOs remote support tools basicnetworking
  • 3Years Experience in working with help request tracking andreportingtools
  • Knowledgeof IT concepts trends and newtechnologies
  • 3Years Experience in Ability to troubleshoot hardware and softwareissues and communicate solutions to customers both in the CentralOffice and in thefield
  • Abilityto utilize troubleshooting tools and skills in managing andadministering desktops laptops andtablets
  • Excellentresearch and investigativeskills
  • Abilityto communicate effectively orally and in writing with individualsandgroups
  • Basicunderstanding and knowledge of software packaging and deployment(preferably using Ivanti End Point Manager previously LANDESKManagementSuite)
