Senior Network Engineer

Our partner in Englewood, Colorado is looking to bring 5 Network Engineers on their team! The team is looking for out of the box thinkers and people passionate about troubleshooting!

Role : Network Engineer III

Location : Englewood, CO

Onsite Requirements : 4-5 days per week

Type of position : Long term contract with possibility to extend or convert full time

You will be a good fit if you have experience with the following :

• Troubleshooting DOCSIS, EPON or CPE
• OLT Network Router / Switch- Need to know the Routing, Fiber, Optical Networks.
• Core Networks
• Optical Networks
• CCNA level Route / Switch

Required Qualifications

• Candidates should have at least 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
• Experience in CPE Testing is strongly desired.
• Candidates must have a good understanding of DOCSIS, PacketCable and provisioning
• Experience with automation, databases, scripting, and system administration is a plus.
• Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The candidate must be a team player, with an inherent ability to work well under tight timelines, and have strong problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, Fiber (Multimode, Single mode, UTP, etc.), Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
• Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology
• Knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations.
• Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly
