Salary : $15.00 - $19.00 / Hour
Family Pharmacy is seeking a friendly and well-organized individual to join our team! The ideal candidate is comfortable handling customers' inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department and is also customer-service focused.
We're looking for an individual who can quickly interpret problems, accurately process prescriptions, and facilitate various insurance plans.
Job Summary :
The Pharmacy Technician will perform many pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and pharmacy executive management.
Other duties may be assigned as needed based on business needs.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients.
- Measure the dosage of medications according to prescription orders.
- Process prescriptions using computer software.
- Label and record dosage information.
- Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
- Orders, receives, and maintains an inventory of drugs and chemicals and ensures their security.
- Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment, including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
- Enters data into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
- Under the direction of the pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
- Performs general clerical duties for the department.

Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Must be Pharmacy Technician Certified
- Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to perform light lifting (up to 15 pounds) and repetitive physical activity.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
