HVAC Service Manager

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HVAC Service Manager to oversee our service department in the Charleston, SC area.

The HVAC Service Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service team, ensuring high-quality performance, client satisfaction, and the successful completion of all service projects.

This role requires a strong leader with extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to manage technicians, schedules, budgets, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the HVAC service team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of technicians.
• Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely response to service requests and the completion of projects within budget and on schedule.
• Maintain and improve customer relationships by ensuring excellent service and communication.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems issues, providing guidance to technicians as needed.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with regulatory and industry requirements.
• Monitor and manage inventory, materials, and supplies for the service department.
• Work with the sales and project management teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving service efficiency and technician productivity.
• Review and approve estimates for service repairs and installations.
• Manage budgets, track service metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as an HVAC Service Manager or similar role in the HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, and repair processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficient with HVAC-related software, scheduling, and job tracking systems.
• Certifications : HVAC certification and EPA certification are preferred.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in HVAC / R preferred.
