Relocation Coordinator Job Description

General Duties :

  • Supervise company’s on-site responsibilities and scope of work according to its contract with client and agency approved resident relocation plan.
  • Must have car (there will be an auto / gas / toll reimbursement). There is a need to travel to sites. Travel will be throughout NYC boroughs (mainly Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan) and possibly NJ / CT NY metro area from time to time.
  • Provide residents with assistance and process requests for financial assistance payments per the approved plan.
  • Meet with all residents to discuss their options.
  • Assist residents in the completion of forms, coordination of special needs and other concerns.
  • Maintain all required documentation including leases for temporary relocation apartments.
  • Interact with residents on a one-on-one basis and provide support services related to the plan.
  • Coordinate the distribution of all notices and communication to residents, as well as individual households.
  • Search for available off-site apartments for temporary relocation of residents.
  • Interact and work with real estate brokers to find apartments.
  • Create real estate broker network.
  • Coordinate resident visits and approval of temporary relocation apartments.
  • Assist with the negotiation and lease up of temporary relocation apartments.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the household move including moving company, distribution of boxes and packing materials, and resident preparation for the move.
  • Ideal situation for real estate salesperson looking to get necessary experience to become a broker.
  • Training will include payment by company of New York State real estate salesperson course and test.
  • Minimum three (3) years management experience required.
  • Prior management experience is an important criteria.
