We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colorado. The individual will be part of our Real Estate & Property team.
This role involves providing support for payroll operations of a large-scale workforce, understanding and applying various payroll tax laws, and maintaining up-to-date records.
Responsibilities :
- Facilitate the processing of bi-weekly payroll for both regular and union employees
- Collaborate with another payroll personnel to distribute payroll responsibilities effectively
- Stay updated with multi-state payroll tax laws and apply them accurately in payroll processing
- Assist in the management of timecards to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll taxes to maintain compliance with tax laws
- Keep all payroll-related records up-to-date and accurate
- Handle inquiries related to payroll from employees and provide timely resolutions
- Monitor employee accounts and take appropriate actions as needed
- Utilize Kronos Timekeeping System for efficient management of time cards and payroll processing
- Leverage skills in processing bi-weekly payroll, payroll taxes, and multi-state payroll to ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Payroll Specialist role, preferably in the Real Estate & Property industry
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Kronos Timekeeping System
- Proven experience in managing time cards
- Ability to process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Solid understanding of payroll taxes and their application
- Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and related regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Relevant certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
