CMM Programmer

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CMM Programmer.

The hourly rate for this position is $44.00 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 7 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do :

In this function you will :

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and validate CMM equipment for the Charleston Machining Center.
• Identify and recommend appropriate gaging technology for specific features and tolerances.
• Write and execute CMM programs, design and order fixturing for part layouts, capability studies, and first / last piece inspections for current and new products.
• Attend training sessions as necessary for software updates and improvements.
• Assist Quality Engineers, Supervisor and Quality Manager in the continuous improvement of the CMM support service.
• Support Measurement System Analysis activities such as Gage R&Rs.
• Writing and editing CMM-related Procedures.
• Recognize and recommend potential savings and process improvements.
• Support company quality manual and AS9100 requirements in order to maintain compliance.
• Maintain clean equipment and work area.

Qualifications :

Required (Basic) Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of 5 years of CMM programming experience with knowledge of, and experience with, GD&T and Hand Tools (caliper, micrometer, pin gages, etc.)
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in a high precision machining environment.
• 10+ years CMM programming experience.
