As a member of the team at Trinity, you’ll provide work planning, scheduling and preparation to ensure efficient execution of required maintenance functions and you will be responsible for ordering facility maintenance materials as needed.
The Maintenance Planner holds a key role in ensuring a proactive maintenance planning environment.The role is responsible for maintaining the inventory levels of maintenance supplies and schedules technicians based on priorities and resources.
The effectiveness of the Maintenance Planner is measured by work order completions, inventory level maintenance, MRO spend and efficient staffing for maintenance projects.
What you’ll do :
- Support the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, analyzing, and coordinating maintenance work orders
- Ensure the timeliness and coordinated availability of parts, materials, special tools, equipment, labor hours and skills required for orderly and efficient work execution
- Maintain an accurate hierarchy in the CMMS (EAM)
- Conduct field walk downs to identify and document job requirements
- Maintain engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings
- Compile information into a job package that is ready for skilled trades clearly communicate with skilled trades regarding critical steps in the process
- Upon completion of jobs, communicates with skilled trades regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient
- Coordinate priority setting with the management team placing specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities
- Participate in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement
- Communicate with contractor resources directly on specific work orders assigned to the contractors and the performance expectations of the work order
- Participate with Maintenance Department personnel on improvement projects, particularly when they are related to the proactive maintenance plan (CBM and PM)
- Compile and analyze reports from CMMS (EAM) regarding the work execution management process
- Verify that supervisors and craft personnel have adequate knowledge of maintenance procedure formats
- Verify maintenance workflow continuity
What you’ll need :
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair of large and sophisticated equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience in industrial electrical or mechanical maintenance required.
- Outstanding communication and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer, must be able to store, retrieve, and analyze data from the CMMS and network applications.
- Ability to work outside of normal working schedule
