Position Purpose :

Responsible for overseeing the operations and management of assigned Distribution Center, ensuring that the site runs efficiently and effectively, meets health and safety standards, and delivers results in line with company objectives.

Leads and motivates the team to achieve operational targets, manages budgets and expenditures, and builds relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Site Director is also responsible for implementing company policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with regulations and legal obligations.

Regularly liaises with other departments within the organization and promotes a positive working culture, ensuring that the site functions as a cohesive unit.

Responsibilities :

  • Planning, managing and coordinating all operations of the site
  • Ensuring that all activities are in compliance with regulations, standards and procedures
  • Leading, managing and motivating site staff
  • Maximizing efficiency and productivity of the site
  • Developing and monitoring safety and security policies and procedures
  • Managing site budgets and resources
  • Monitoring and controlling hazardous materials
  • Liaising with external parties, such as customers and suppliers

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelors degree in business, Operations, or related degree.
  • Minimum of five years of prior management experience in operational roles.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership with strategic, policy, and budget planning experience.
  • Five years experience with distribution / logistics systems preferred.

Mental / Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to adapt to and learn recent technology equipment and platforms.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be physically able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects up to 75 lb. unassisted and lift up to 300lbs in a team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Screen and Background Check.

Supervisory Responsibility (Direct & Indirect)

This role will supervise, both directly and indirectly, all staff (temp and RFT) located at the managed site.
