Job Description
- Unload cargo from incoming trucks by hand or by using equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack, or by using a forklift.
- Verify and note the count and condition of cargo received, knowing when to either refuse or accept with notation & verify that proper labels are attached to identify freight.
- Sort cargo received by store or account and stage in the proper warehouse staging location.
- Load outbound delivery trucks with all freight for the trucks route and ensure space is maximized.
- Monitor various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
- Palletize and pack freight for outbound transit to its final destination
- Re-weigh freight utilizing a floor scale
- Dimensionalize all freight to verify dimensions are accurate.
- Frequently move or lift products within the warehouse ( to 75lbs).
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members & managers.
