Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant Network Engineer - Cisco ACI Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation : Architect, design, and deploy Cisco ACI solutions to meet the network infrastructure needs of the organization or clients.
• Configuration Management : Configure ACI fabric, including APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller) configuration, tenant creation, application network profiles (ANP), endpoint groups (EPG), and contracts.
• Network Integration : Integrate ACI with existing network infrastructure, including Layer 2 / 3 devices, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and other network services.
• Policy Enforcement : Develop and enforce network policies using ACI’s policy-driven approach, ensuring security, compliance, and performance.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor the health and performance of the ACI environment and troubleshoot issues using tools like APIC, SNMP, Syslog, and third-party monitoring solutions.
• Automation and Scripting : Automate routine tasks using Python, Ansible, or other automation tools compatible with ACI to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
• Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ACI-related configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, including security, server, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the ACI environment.
• Upgrades and Patching : Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance for the ACI infrastructure.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco ACI.
• Certification : Cisco CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center, or equivalent certifications in Cisco ACI.
• Deep understanding of Cisco ACI architecture and components (APIC, Leaf, Spine).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MP-BGP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible).
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• Strong communicator English in spoken and written form.
• Advanced Certification : Cisco CCIE Data Center.
• Cloud Integration : Experience with integrating ACI with public clouds (AWS, Azure).
• DevOps Practices : Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies as they relate to network automation.
• Project Management : Experience managing or leading network infrastructure projects.
• The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 . The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities;

geographic location; and internal equity.
