SUMMARY :
The Production Planning Clerk will perform daily entry of sales order information to create work orders. Ability to decipher and interpret sales order information step-by-step instructions for the manufacturing process.
Also enters new specifications for new SKUs. Enters alternative work orders for specific orders, creates BOOs Bill of Operations and BOMs Bill of Materials.
At this capacity this position will report to the Production Manger and will require collaboration on following departmental strategy, targets, and ultimately drive operational performance to meet organizational goals Embracing and exemplifying Samsill’s values and corporate culture will be a critical success factor for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Updates schedule daily resulting from production departments builds / moves.
- Reports used production schedules and To Be Scheduled.
- Ensure materials are available for all orders placed on schedules.
- Log all material shortages conduct follow-up to obtain E.T.A for planning purposes.
- Track all low material concerns, adjust schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of raw material inventory and finished goods.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Work closely with the production team to develop and implement production schedules.
- Generate regular reports on production activities and key performance indicators.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three years related experience or training
- Associate degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with ERP, MRP or other integrated scheduling software systems is preferred
