The Engine Harness DevelopmentEngineer duties include but are not limited to designingprototyping and documenting engine transmission and electrifiedpowertrain wiring harnesses to be used in dynamometer test cells.
The engineers responsibilities also include organizing andoverseeing the building of such harnesses (both inhouse andoutsourced to a supplier) checking for errors verifying operationcontrolling inventory troubleshooting issues and ensuring thatappropriate corrective actions are made.
The Engine HarnessDevelopment Engineer will be expected to be able to read andinterpret device transmittal information and be able to utilizethat information to efficiently design wiring harnesses fordynamometer testing.
The engineer will be required to interfacewith a network of product development engineers to gather requiredelectrical information work with in house technicians and thirdparty suppliers to build harnesses to spec and engage in multipleprojects simultaneously.
Requirements
Requirements :
- Bachelorsdegree in electrical mechanical or aeronauticalengineering
- 24 years of relevant work experience in automotive testing orelectronics
- Abilityto design and modify electricalcircuits
- Abilityto troubleshoot and correct wiring relatedissues
- Familiaritywith electrical noise mitigation proper grounding shieldingetc.
- Comfortabilitywith working on multiple projects in a fast pacedenvironment
- Experienceusing MS office and / or Google Suiteapplications
- Excellentverbal and written communicationskills
