An Electrical Designer is needed for a leading engineering and design firm in Columbus, OH. The Electrical Designer will collaborate within an integrated team to meticulously design large-scale data center projects.
Responsibilities will encompass creating detailed models, coordinating with various disciplines for seamless integration, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or a related field, accompanied by 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential, particularly in modeling conduit, cable tray, and developing complex families with custom parameters.
This is a direct-hire role, with possible overtime, excellent benefits, and significant bonus potential. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.
responsibilities :
- Assist in drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis
- Model conduit, cable tray, and telecom devices within BIM environment
- Coordinate with other disciplines for clash detection and clearance management
- Translate engineering sketches into detailed drawings and specifications
- Perform quality reviews and ensure adherence to design codes and specifications
- Mentor and develop junior drafting and design staff members
