The CNC Set-Up Machinist (2ND Shift) will load machines with correct material, set parameters and tools utilizing approved HCOA processes and technical orders or engineering diagrams.
Additionally, the CNC Set-Up Machinist is responsible for ensuring accurate machining of these processes via quality checks and measurements.
Responsibilities :
- Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time.
- Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules.
- Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and provides documentation to their internal customer.
- Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Keep Cetec order location data current and correct.
- Full and complete understanding of all other pertinent HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Complete daily machine PM's
- Work with CNC programmer to maximize machine output
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years' experience with setup and operating a CNC system as a machinist, informally on the job, or training in secondary, vocational, or technical college.
- Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to technical data (Part print, Mylars)
- Understand Speed and Feed, ability to adjust programs and make suggestions
- Tooling knowledge
- Ability to setup and manufacturer parts on Bridgeport mill
- Computer knowledge for data entry into ERP systems
- Security Authorization : Must be legally authorized to work in the US. If required possess the ability to pass the Defense National Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2
Physical Demands / ADA Compliance
The employee may be required to stand for a full shift while wearing PPE. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20 / 20 with full depth perception.
Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40). Regularly required to push, pull, bend and apply pressure using hand tools and operate machinery.
$20-22 an hour dependent upon experience
Hours : 3 : 00pm-1130pm with occasional overtime. Monday through Friday. Onsite only.
Background and Drug test required.
