Concrete Laboratory Technician

Overview : Geotechnology, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company, has an opening in our Construction Services Department.

UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.

To perform routine concrete laboratory testing at the request of the Laboratory Supervisor / Manager . The possibility of data reduction and boring log preparation exists for those with computer skills and the aptitude for data reduction.

Job Responsibilities :

• Performs soil, aggregate, asphalt and concrete testing.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat order.
• Assists in logging, storage and disposal of samples.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma
• Good oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilities
• Ability to effectively use computers
• Ability to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experience
• Knowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniques
• Required to stand for long periods of time
