Salary : $80,000 - 105,000 / year
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for delivering exceptional IT support and solutions to our clients. This role includes both remote and on-site responsibilities, requiring travel to customer locations using a company-provided van.
You will work with various technologies, including Windows servers, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365, to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our clients' IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Client Support : Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, addressing and resolving issues related to Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365.
- System Installation & Configuration : Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including Windows servers, Active Directory domains, Azure services, and Office 365 applications.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance : Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure systems are secure and functioning optimally.
- Customer Site Visits : Travel to client sites using a company van to deliver hands-on support, implement solutions, and address technical challenges.
Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively.
- Infrastructure Management : Assist with the design, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure, including server setups, network configurations, and cloud solutions.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all support activities, configurations, and changes. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other engineers, support staff, and management to coordinate efforts and share knowledge.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving service delivery.
- Project Support : Assist with client projects, including system migrations, cloud deployments, and IT upgrades. Provide technical input and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Training & Guidance : Offer training and guidance to clients on best practices for IT system use and maintenance. Educate clients on new technologies and updates relevant to their environments.
Requirements
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Proven experience with Windows server environments, Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365.
- Experience with client-facing roles and providing on-site support.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows server administration, Active Directory, Azure cloud services, and Office 365.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
