We are seeking a skilled attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal law, possess excellent research and negotiation skills, and have an interest and experience in appellate work.
Duties
- Supervise two attorneys handling district court misdemeanors
- Provide legal advice and represent clients in court
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents such as appeals, mandamus, Rule 32 and other pleadings, and briefs in support
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Specialize in criminal law
- Utilize tools like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw for legal research
- Manage cases efficiently within a law office setting
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Alabama State Bar Association
- Proven experience in criminal law
- Familiarity with legal research methods and tools
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Supervisory experience is strongly desired

Pay : $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
