Salary : Structural Fitter
Structural Fitter
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED Diploma.
- Five or more years of experience preferred.
- Experience with reading blueprints preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s safety program.
- Examines blueprints and plan sequence of operation, applying knowledge of geometry, effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining and metal thickness.
- Assembles and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints.
- Maintains quality that can pass NDT testing procedures.
- Performs fitting assignments in a safe and efficient manner practicing safety at all times.
- Operates applicable hand tools (chipping hammers, grinders, etc.).
- Operates high reaches or man lifts as required when having to perform fitting assignments above ground level.
- Follows instructions, written and / or verbal, with little or no supervision.
- Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Performs other construction duties or task as required based on company’s needs.
