We are looking to hire pipe layers for water and wastewater treatment plants and pump station projects in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Must have experience in installation, and assembly of above ground flanged, threaded and welded piping systems including stainless steel, ductile iron, glued CPVC and galvanized piping systems.

Must have experience installing valves, pipe hangers and other components of the system. Must have excellent communication skills and have a team player attitude.

Needs :

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to measure, perform construction math and calculate rises and runs for piping systems.
• Can set up and properly use pipe fitting tools including a pipe laser, plumb bob and level
• Knowledge of safe rigging and hoisting equipment and procedures
• Knowledge of PSCC and OSHA rules
• Read and interpret plans, including pipe restraint charts
• Proper techniques for joining flanged ductile iron, welded stainless steel, threaded galvanized and welded PVC piping systems.
• Heavy Equipment Operation a plus.
• Lift over 50 pounds, handle extreme weather conditions while working alongside craft laborers.
• Stand for long period of times
• Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and specifications to accurately lay out the piping system.
• Cut, thread, and groove ductile iron pipes and galvanized piping systems. Install and secure pipe hangers and supports to ensure proper alignment and stability.
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to identify and rectify any leaks or defects
