Practice
As a medical director, your responsibilities will include ensuring emergency medicine representation on hospital committees and providing timely summaries of meeting outcomes.
Regularly communicate with hospital leadership and nursing directors to align departmental goals and strategies. Conducting bi-monthly meetings with providers to review performance metrics, address operational issues, and discuss hospital-wide initiatives.
- Our ER is community-based, catering to rural individuals who deeply value the care they receive. We offer a mix of modern technology alongside the challenges often present in rural Oklahoma medical practice, blending advanced tools with the realities of limited resources.
- Develop a comprehensive orientation process for new providers that covers computer training, expectations in interactions with staff, hospital orientation, review of supervision protocols, departmental goals, and hands-on orientation shifts supervised by the medical director.
- The hospital has 24 / 7 CT ultrasound, glide scopes, managing a trauma level 3, and averaging 17K annual visits with 17 ED beds.
- Mostly daytime coverage but must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Compensation is $295 / hour plus a $60k director stipend, quarterly performance bonuses, relocation reimbursement & commencement bonus!
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
- ABEM certification is required.
