MANAGER, PSYCHOLOGY (REHABILITATION)

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a clinical neuropsychologist to manage a team of psychologists. Memorial Regional Hospital South is ranked #2 in the state of Florida as Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation by US News and World Report.

The selected candidate will ensure patient care services are delivered in a manner that balances quality of care with efficiency, maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, and assists with program development.

The ideal candidate will have managerial experience in a neuropsychology and / or rehabilitation psychology setting. Candidates must have at least three (3) years of clinical and program development experience, post-licensure.

The successful applicant should have earned a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program and be licensed in the state of Florida by date of hire.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Assessing patient's cognitive, emotional, and psychological status and providing appropriate interventions and treatments.

Understanding and initiating and / or discharging Baker Act when appropriate.

• Assisting with the development and implementation of psychology goals, plans, evidence-based practices / programs, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of departmental budgets and ensuring that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.

Collaborating on potential grant funding opportunities.

• Monitoring staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Providing psychological expertise and education to a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Acting as a resource to other disciplines on patient problems related to various psychological disorders.
• Onboarding, training & supervision of Doctoral interns and practicum students from APA institutions.
• Communication with Director of Psychological services pertaining to programmatic, staffing and / or clinical issues in the department.
