This position is based at our Ontario, California location.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a physical cycle count as instructed and scheduled by the Materials Manager and compare results with MRP System
  • Report discrepancies between physical inventory count and system count to Materials Manager
  • Investigate origin of discrepancies and report to Materials Manager
  • Adhere to the cycle counting procedures and guidelines (PL-PR-162)
  • Maintain cycle count records and data files in conjunction with QMS Administrator
  • Perform daily activities consistent with maintaining effective inventory management procedures
  • Have current knowledge of product locations and organizational system
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and / or management.

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two or more years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with computer applications and experience with MRP / ERP systems
  • Ability to read CAD Drawings
  • Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions
  • Ability to read a measuring tape to a 1 / 16 measurement
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and complete routine reports
  • Deminstrated time management skills
  • Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagrammatic form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
