Treasury Management Officer

The Treasury Management and Card Sales Officer (TMCSO) is focused on growing UMB’s Treasury Management and Card Solutions through the selling and maintenance of accounts, treasury management services, and Commercial Card solution sets.

The TMCSO collaborates with internal partners to streamline communication and advisement on their clients' deposits, treasury management, risk, and other company paymentneeds.

You will work to identify ways to improve the client experience and enhance UMB’s brand in the marketplace. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with commercial clients to understand their business, optimize Treasury flow, and minimize financial and reputational risk.

While this position works independently, the Treasury Management Team fosters a spirit of teamwork and cooperation across all value streams.

How you'll spend your time :

You will manage a portfolio of existing clients with a focus on profitable, organic revenue growth and minimizing attrition

You will manage a portfolio of new-to-bank clients with a focus on revenue growth

You will develop and maintainrelationships with clients to maintain and expand existing business

You will know and understand the business’s organization, expected activity, identify and communicate operational credit exposures, and other risks

You will understand treasury management product risk and ensure UMB’s credit policies and other risks (e.g., reputational, legal) are adhered to and mitigated

You will establishappropriate expectations for onboarding, including execution of documentation, and ensure ramp of sold services

You will conductindependent and codependent sales calls on companies to generate new, high-quality, and profitable Treasury Management and deposit business to achieve or exceed specific YoY growth goals

You will take a role in the market by actively engaging in local industry associations, networking groups, and / or community associations

You will identify working capital efficiency opportunities for a business and deepen the relationship accordingly; ensure business awareness of market and industry trends, identify dissatisfiers, and escalate appropriately

You will identify and refer ancillary business opportunities to appropriate partners

You will design customer-centric treasury management solutions and provide consultative expertise on the liquidity management cycle

You will identify both internal and external prospects. Develop and maintain relationships with prospects to profitably expand the business

You will provide thought leadership within and outside the market through, but not limited to, hosting corporate events, attending and speaking at industry conferences, etc.

You will engage with internal marketing in the design of sales collateral and company-sponsored marketing

You have 3+ years of banking experience with 2+ years in selling or supporting commercial or treasury services OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background

You demonstrate the ability to prospect, network & influence at various levels within a company and with clients very self-motivated;

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to partner across lines of business and with clients be a team player

You are knowledgeable of Treasury Management products and services, corporate cash flow process

You are knowledgeable of market / industry trends; Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

You are knowledgeable of credit and operational risk

You are knowledgeable of policies & procedures for implementation

You are knowledgeable of Commercial Payments & Cards

You are knowledgeable of TM & card-based applications

Compensation Range :

Minimum : $69,230.00 - Maximum : $179,300.00
