Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Actively identify and participate in continual improvement opportunities
- Maintain roll form tooling
Log die set numbers, templates and other shop aids with locations
Pull die sets, templates, and shop aids for specific part numbersReturn tooling to proper locationsPolish die setsInspect for damage, wear and tear
Preset diesReview dies for obsolescenceOther tasks as directed by Roll Form SupervisorPromote efficient workflow in the Roll Form departmentReview roll form production schedule with Roll Form Supervisor
Coordinate tasks for Production AssistantsPreset dies
Retrieve, prepare and deliver raw material to the roll form machinesTeardown of roll form machinesAssist Roll Form Operators to increase productivityFeeding material
Leveling materialBuffing materialDe-twistingPulling and stacking partsTear down machinesOther tasks as directed by the Roll Form SupervisorOrganization of stock raw materialsIdentify raw materials with inventory tags
Identify raw material locationsVerify weight and / or count of inventory in the computer systemConsolidate material to maximize storage capacity in the raw material warehouseUtilize 5S to organize work areas (tool crib, dies polishing stations, and preset area)A place for everything and everything in its place
Perform cleaning, organization, and maintenance tasks to promote safety, increase production and organizationReview and maintenance of written setupsVerify and document changes made by Roll Form Operator
General recording keeping and filingAssist with receiving raw materialsVerify Purchase Order Number
Verify material condition and specificationsVerify coil weight and countVerify the number of sheetsEffectively communicate with management, support staff, and other employeesTrain new employees and cross-train existing employeesOther duties as assignedQualifications :
Minimum Education : High School diploma or GEDMinimum Experience : Manufacturing experience preferredCertifications Required : Annual forklift trainingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Communication Skills : Read, write, and speak English fluentlyMathematical Skills : Basic math skillsDecimals and fractions
Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionReasoning Skills : Critically think by use of knowledge, facts, and data to effectively solve problemsInterpersonal Skills : Collaborative, dedicated, team goal-oriented, and reliablePrint Reading : Able to read and interpret roll form set up and production printsComputer : Proficient with general computer operation, use of IIS, Rad-Tabs, and ExcelForklift Operation : Loading coil, moving raw materials, relocating ancillary production equipment, loading / unloading trucks, and general use of a forkliftUse of hand and powered toolsMeasuring Equipment : Proficient with the use of digital calipers, digital micrometers, height gauge, digital protractor, radius gauges, templates, and tape measurePhysical Abilities : Able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. repeatedlyWorking Conditions :
Schedule : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM, Monday through FridayOvertime : As deemed necessary by Roll Form SupervisorSafety :
