Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital.
It is the premiere health care organization for key areas such as Surgery, Cardiology, Women's Health, Pediatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Renal and Mental Health Services.

Job Description
Under general supervision, serves as a licensed, independent practitioner responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and managing comprehensive health care services in a health care setting.
Ensures patient and family-centered quality care to improve outcomes and patient experience, in accordance with applicable NYC Health + Hospitals policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations and nursing standards of care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current New York State professional nurse registration
- Current New York State nurse practitioner registration, with prescription privileges.
- Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certification by as national certifying body in her / his specialty area.
- Credentialed by Medical Board.
- Medicaid provider number
- DEA number
- Masters or Doctorate Degree
Department Preferences
Strongly prefer National Board Certification in specialty in which you are assigned.
