About the Role
Our client is an industry leading employee-owned engineering and professional services firm dedicated to creating impactful solutions for clients, teams, and across the globe.
They are seeking an Electrical Principal in to lead a multi-discipline team in designing electrical systems for buildings across any one of their 4 offices in California (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, ensuring project delivery.
- Develop electrical system designs based on client RFPs and project scope.
- Conduct building surveys and document existing electrical systems.
- Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform quality control (QA / QC) on design work and ensure code compliance.
- Serve as the primary client contact, providing construction administration services.
- Support business development by building client relationships and participating in project interviews.

Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in electrical design, with familiarity in AutoCAD and Revit.
- PE License (preferred).
- Experience managing teams and coordinating with other disciplines.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
- Team management experience and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
