Description

The Senior Supply Chain Manager provides leadership to define, implement, and optimize the supply-chain strategies and objectives in support of business strategies.

As a successful candidate, you will evaluate the competitiveness of the business supply chain with respect to service, cost, and investment and will lead improvement activities in supply chain processes.

You will also ensure alignment with regional and global supply chain work processes.

As Senior Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for :

  • Managing fully effective monthly demand and supply reviews to support the monthly Axalta Integrated Business Management process and meeting customer demand at acceptable cost and inventory investment.
  • Leading the monthly inventory management process to minimize non-productive inventory and meet annual inventory investment targets set in the annual budget.
  • Understanding customer needs and demand changes and takes action to address changing needs.
  • Ensuring personal development plans for all team members and coaches team members to learn to skills and improve their performance.
  • Performing required SOX controls and establishes remediation plans for any controls that are not effective.
  • Collaborating effectively with regional supply chain, procurement, commercial, customer service, finance, logistics and technology to deliver results.
  • Identifying and delivering on continuous improvement projects to improve service at the right cost.
  • Owning the integrity of applicable master data in the planning and ERP systems.
  • Using the agreed supply chain metrics to track and manage supply chain process performance, to include forecast accuracy, forecast bias, OTIF and inventory metrics both IDS and DFC.
  • Supporting the annual business planning and long-term strategic planning process for the Industrial supply chains.
  • Following supply chain processes to set and manage safety stock levels, MTO / MTS channel assignments, production schedule changes.
  • Meeting applicable regulatory and compliance policies for Axalta.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. (Supply Chain, engineering or other technical major preferred).
  • 7+ years’ relevant supply chain leadership experience required.
  • Experience with demand planning, master scheduling, detailed scheduling, materials planning, toll planning and / or logistics.
  • Supply Chain certification (CPIM or CSCP, ASCM / APICS) required.

Preferred

  • Experience in in coatings or chemicals manufacturing preferred.
  • Experienced practitioner of Integrated Business Planning or Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Proficient with advance planning systems like SAP IBP or OMP Plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive process improvement.
  • Bias for action.
  • Business acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
