Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Family Support Worker to join our Family Resource Center located in Jersey City, NJ .

The purpose of the Family Resource Center is to reduce incidents of child abuse and neglect, to support family reunification and to strengthen families referred by DCP&P in Hudson County.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • Provide family support services to approximately 13-15 families.
  • Provide in home supportive counseling, case management; advocacy, transportation, parent education.
  • Complete all program documentation including progress notes, plans of care, statistical reports, court reports and any other required documentation for program and contract compliance.

SCHEDULE :

  • Schedule will vary between a 9AM to 5PM and 11AM - 7PM schedule from Monday through Friday
  • Schedule to be discussed with hiring manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field
  • 1 - 2 years experience working with children / adolescents
  • Valid Driver's license

Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.

Experience working with DCPP and local systems of care highly desirable.
