Production Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembles and tests electrical / electronic products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety, quality and productivity standards and protocols.
• Records and submits productivity and quality metrics to the Team leader or Production Supervisor
• Maintains his / her work area and tools in an orderly manner daily.
• Plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Observes all safety rules and provides suggestions to improve safety and wears proper PPE.
• Completes all essential duties as well as the applicable paperwork and computer entries on a timely basis.

Performance Metrics

• First pass yield.
• Productivity : measure labor actuals vs. standards.
• No quality errors; No installation discrepancies.
• On time delivery of 100%.
• Inventory accuracy + / - 1% within his / her work area.
• No safety infractions.

Qualifications

• Education : High School education or equivalent.
• Experience : 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Basic understanding of circuit boards, schematic reading and electrical meter skills.

Background working with AC / DC voltages.

Other : Knowledge of MS Office and computer literate.
