Description :
- Prepare month end journal entries adhering to the deadlines set by upper management
- Prepare account reconciliations with the required supporting documentation, researching any variances that result
- Oversee fixed asset reporting including reconciliation of fixed asset system to GL, monthly depreciation entries, fixed asset additions and CIP projects
- Serve as a liaison between the General Ledger group and other departments for proper coding of payables in adherence with US GAAP and Company’s accounting policies
- Perform variance analysis for income statement accounts on a monthly basis
- Collaborate with all departments of the Company, including payroll, risk management, and operations to ensure efficacy of accounting operations
- Assist with the Company’s year-end audit
- Perform research and analysis on new accounting pronouncements and technical accounting issues
- Performs a variety of accounting tasks including but not limited to preparing journal entries, reconciling various balance sheet accounts, processing and reconciling interfacing sub-systems to the general ledger
- Consolidation and review of monthly financial statements and support of the annual 10K report and audit
- Duties will also include involvement with specialized projects on an as needed basis in conjunction with management and / or senior staff
Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- CPA License preferred
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines and schedules
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
