KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Completes assigned tasks to support marketing promotions and events including decorations, event preparation / set-up, and works closely with internal departments to perform duties.
- Participates in Marketing meetings and shares ideas on promotions and special events execution.
- Assists in ensuring collateral for promotions and events are up to date and accurate throughout the property including brochures, pamphlets, digital, etc.
- Checks property websites weekly for accuracy, including 3rd party websites.
- Assists with Stir Cove duties as needed, including but not limited to, Box Office, scanning tickets, etc.
- Assists Casino Marketing as needed, including but not limited to, working VIP Lounges and helping with National Casino Marketing events and arrivals.
- Completes daily tracking sheets including participation logs and event registration.
- Submits reservation requests (Scheduler) for event tracking purposes.
- Maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
- Develops good working relationships and maintains effective communication with other departments to secure and maintain their cooperation for assistance with promotions and events.
- Presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
- Marketing or hospitality / gaming industry experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Good oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers, must be fluent and literate in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
- Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to respond calmly in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors.
- Ability to stand and walk, and mobility to move easily around entire property for entire shift. Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds and air quality.
- Must be flexible with schedule to attend promotions and events when required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
