Parts Clerk, Mt. Pleasant, SC
Vector Fleet Management, LLC is an American based, privately held company that has been in the fleet maintenance business for over 30 years.
Vector Fleet provides onsite, customized fleet maintenance solutions for clients in numerous states across the U.S.
Vector Fleet Management, is currently looking for a Parts Clerk at our location in Mt. Pleasant, SC . Proven experience in managing parts is required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a position with a rapidly growing company that has a true customer service culture.
A competitive compensation package is available for the right candidate.
Duties for the Parts Clerk include but are not limited to :
- Responsible for providing parts and total parts management for a dedicated customer.
- Direct involvement with a major parts supplier and other ancillary vendors.
- Aggressive management of parts inventory, vendor relations, monthly billing and customer service.
- Communicating regularly with Vector’s Director of Operations.
Qualifications / Requirements for the Parts Clerk :
- Years of Parts experience : 5
- Educational requirements : High School graduate with at least some college preferred
- Knowledge and experience in the vehicle parts industry, heavy duty equipment parts a plus
- Experience working with parts management within a fleet management information system (FMIS) AssetWorks (FA) FMIS knowledge and experience a plus
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, with a focus on Outlook, Excel and Word
- Discipline : a proven track record as a self-starter and adherence to company policies
- Strong customer orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as it relates to company employees
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and operational level
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing with customers (either internal or external) are a must
- ASE P1 or P2 certification required or the ability to obtain within 6 months
