JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Quality Engineer in Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations (AHMO), you will develop systems, methodologies, quality processes, and best practices to guarantee high-quality products in line with standards, drawings, and specifications set in place by internal Engineering Teams.
You will support projects developed by cross-functional teams where quality results, teamwork, and initiatives measure individual performance.
A successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and be a fast learner and able to work independently.
This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager AHMO Quality Engineering.
In this role, you will :
Manage asset calibration and preventive maintenance program
Maintain and author QC procedures, work instructions, training material for processes in alignment with the international standards for Quality Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and similar).
Work with Quality, Operations and Test Engineering to develop KPI dashboards on ZPT, TDO, FPY and maintain those dashboards.
Assist in RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) in order to drive quality issues to resolution.
Support MRB (Material Review Board) meetings with key stakeholders to determine timely disposition of on-hand units in quarantine.
Assist Engineers in developing Inspection Plan (IQC), In Process Quality Control (IPQC), and outgoing Quality Control (OQC) requirements.
Maintain pFMEA and other risk documentation.
Assist in Zoox's industrialization plan & mission by supporting product and process improvement projects under the guidance of the Sr.
Manager AHMO Quality Engineering..
Qualifications
BS in mechanical, electrical, electronics engineering or STEM required
1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive, capital equipment medical device, robotics, semiconductor, or aerospace fields are preferred)
Practical knowledge of QMS and quality control fundamentals
Background in MRB and NCMR handling along with driving SCARs & CAPAs to resolution
Solid planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Bonus Qualifications
SQL / Python or similar language
Experience working in a start-up environment
Working knowledge of JIRA, 3DX Enovia, SAP
