The Material Handler will load and unload different transport vehicles, record inventory statuses, and ensure deliveries properly match purchase orders.

The person to fill this role must be able to operate different types of lifting machinery such as pallet jacks, order pickers, side loaders, reach fork trucks and counterbalance forklifts.

The Material Handler will be responsible for safe transportation of material to and from warehouses via box truck or similar transportation.

This person will monitor inventory and location of inventory in each of the warehouses.

The Material Handler will be responsible for accurate receiving and processing of machined / outside processing parts from vendors to ensure parts match purchase orders and are routed to the proper next process.

The person to fill this role must be able to read basic blueprints and have a basic understanding of work orders and routings.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate material handling equipment for the purpose of :
• Locating, moving, relocating, stacking, and counting components within a warehouse.
• Accurately loading transport vehicles with correct product and quantity of product.
• Follow established work instructions to :
• Prepare, pack, and label product for shipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and address any unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance / check sheet.
• Communicate special handling instructions with transport vehicle drivers for safe delivery.
• Accurate receiving of machined / outside processing parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Forklift certified.
• Must maintain a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (CDL not currently required)
• To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations.

This includes : 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
