Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Principle Network Engineer with multi-network technologies and technical leadership experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

Supervises creation of complex engineering solutions for new or enhanced technology and the integration of solutions and services.

Designs and models services for inter-networking and client converged networks. Leads, directs, or recommends cross-functional team targeted for system enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity.

Evaluates product and service solutions. Oversees and develops multi-platform converged enterprise engineering solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new network service platform solutions for business and infrastructure services.

Subject matter expert in multi-network technologies. Leads advanced knowledge sharing and recommendations for converged network : voice, data, security, data transmission systems, equipment capabilities, products, services, features and configurations.

Manages and develops new solutions and integrated service offerings to meet large-scale or enterprise projects or service requirements.

Provides senior technical leadership, representing network organization in cross-functional / project teams. Subject matter expertise with advanced and multi-dimensional troubleshooting, recommendations, and multi-platform issue resolution for highly complex systems, network and security problems across multiple / converged technology solutions and services.

Manages development, often leading cross-functional technical team driving efforts for performance improvement, expansion, and procedures across multiple / converged services and platforms.

Supervises and leads delivery and development of multiple and converged systems documentation, procedures, and processes.

Coordinates the maintenance and modification of systems. Leads or provides guidance for advanced technical support for multiple and converged systems and services.

Administers, develops, and performs capacity and resource planning to optimize new and expand existing network system.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 7 years experience with managing day-to-day delivery of satisfactory network services to clients.
  • At least 7 years experience within a total Information Technology (IT) environment.

Preferred Skills / Experience :

Strong experience in - Deep Packet Analysis, Packets decryption methodology, Data, Voice networks

Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills On-premise & Cloud Network

Strong facilitation skills working with both internal and external parties

Extensive experience in :

  • SDAN Infrastructure
  • Wireline analytics
  • Software Defined Network / SDN Data Center Infrastructure
  • SDWAN Infrastructure
  • System software infrastructure
  • Application Infrastructure
  • IT standards, procedures, policy
  • Cisco certification (CCIE preferred)
  • Contingency and disaster recover

Configuration management experience

Subject matter expert in : Network operations, Contingency and disaster recovery, Product and vendor evaluation, Network architecture, Voice networks, Technical troubleshooting, Wide area networks, Network and internet security

Experience with Tools / Applications :

  • Sniffers, TAPs, Packet Brokers
  • Wireshark
  • ExtraHop
  • NetBrain
  • Observer
  • Packet Trace Warehouse
  • SteelCentral Packet Analyzer Plus
  • Infoblox / Bluecat
  • Cisco APIC

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.

In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

Pay Range : $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
