Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is looking for full-time and part-time AM and PM LPNs to join our team! We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are interested in providing their best care for our residents.
New LPN? We would love to help train and grow you in your career as an LPN. Busy schedule? We love to help our staff set up a schedule that works for them around their busy schedule.
The Licensed Practical Nurse responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Providing direct patient care and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
Performing basic nursing assessments to collect patient data and monitor their condition.
Administering medications, including oral, topical, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
Monitoring and recording vital signs and providing wound care.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Working as part of a healthcare team and collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as RNs, physicians, and other support staff.
Providing basic health education and instructions to patients and their families.
Performing basic medical procedures, such as administering injections, starting intravenous (IV) lines, collecting laboratory specimens, and conducting simple laboratory tests (depending on state regulations).
Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
Supervising CNAs
Qualifications & Skills of Licensed Practical Nurse
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved practical nursing program
Current nursing license by the Minnesota Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, patients, families, and professional / regulatory agents
CPR certified
Long-term care experience preferred
