The Program Services Coordinator (PSC) assists the designated Infectious Disease Programs Department team by providing operational support for the programs and projects.
Under the guidance of the direct supervisor, the Program Services Coordinator is responsible for the support of designated public health programs and projects.
In particular, the Program Services Coordinator will support logistics such as procurement, travel and convenings; efficient, effective and economical management of resources / assets such as materials and equipment, employee onboarding and offboarding and review and reconciliation of programs / projects financial transactions.
This position is based in Atlanta, GA and relocation expenses are not provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the division and related programs / projects.
- Coordinates division-level resource management, logistics and other relevant program / project operational functions.
- Supports the onboarding and off-boarding of division-level program / project field employees.
- Reconciles program / project budgets and monitors other relevant financial transactions related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Coordinates and supports systematic and standardized development, renewal and closeout of agreements and contracts across programs / projects within the division.
- Coordinates and supports systematic and standardized use of efficient databases, filing and tracking systems including generating reports for programs / projects monitoring within the division.
- Liaises with other CDC Foundation departments as the division representative for program services functions.
- Serves as a department-level resource and subject matter expert on ERP systems.
- Coordinates and supports program and project related convenings, international and domestic travel bookings and travel reimbursements for team members as well as internal and external partners.
- Represents the CDC Foundation at meetings with CDC, donors and other partners.
- Participates in and / or supports special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Necessary Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience required and focus on business administration preferred.
- Highly detail oriented, works well within a diverse team, demonstrates a high degree of initiative and flexibility, able to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner and able to prioritize activities when under tight deadlines and possesses analytical skills.
- Strong technical skills including word processing, spreadsheet development and management and database management.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and software packages used to manage day-to-day business activities such as accounting, procurement, travel, project management and / or relationship management preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience reviewing and editing documents.
- Skills in budget management, organization and creative problem solving.
- Ability to solve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to interact professionally with partners at internal and external meetings.
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial; energetic; and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
